Kählig Antriebstechnik GmbH (KAG) was founded in 1967 in Bebra, Germany, as a division of VDO, a brand specializing in automotive electronics and mechatronics under the global supplier Continental AG. In 1984, production was relocated to Hannover.

In 1999, a new headquarters was constructed in Hannover, featuring 3,500 square meters of production and office space.

With nearly 40 years of market experience, KAG has specialized in manufacturing brushed and brushless DC motors with continuous power ranging from 2.5 to 250 watts, becoming one of the world’s leading producers in its segment.

At the beginning of 2020, KAG expanded its production area with an additional 2,400 square meters to meet growing demand for new production lines. Today, the company continues to invest in the future, maintaining a strong commitment to quality and innovation while offering customized drive solutions to meet specific customer needs.
